Sunday Inspiration: Have you RSVP’d to the Father’s invitation?
Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers out there.
Yesterday Caren and Robbie (our two kids) and Seth Ross, Caren’s fiance, came to visit to celebrate Father’s Day with Julia and me.
Caren and Seth made home lasagna. While that was baking in the oven, we all went walking together in our neighborhood. While on our walk, we picked fresh blueberries and saw deer on two different occasions.
After dinner, Caren and Robbie gave me a beautiful 9″ x 12″ framed professional photo of the two of them they had made earlier in the week. They also gave me two of the most touching Father’s Day cards I have ever received.
And we capped off the evening by watching The Gospel of John DVD which Seth had rented from Netflix ealier in the week and brought with him for us to watch together as a family on Father’s Day. This was my favorite Father’s Day celebration ever.
This morning, Maui (our dog) got me up at 5:35 am. After feeding her, I took communion and came to my desk to journal. I began writing
Jesus, Jesus, I miss having these written dialogues with You. I am so hungry for You. I am so thankful for the way you are working in my family. Thank You for Caren and Robbie doing the special photo shoot for me for Father’s Day. Thank You for their wonderful Father’s Day cards. Thank You for the time we had to spend together as a family. Thank You for the wonderful dinner that Caren made. Thank You that Seth rented and brought The Gospel of John DVD. Thank You for the progress we are making with The Jesus Feast blog.
After writing that last sentence, I was prompted to go to The Jesus Feast blog to see how far Celene (my worker in the Philippines) had gotten with creating new blog posts using the 150 daily messages that Dr. Mary Ellen Schoonover is writing.
The last of the 15 messages Celene completed just happened to be “Day #50: Have you RSVP’d to the Father’s invitation?” As I read that message and watched the video my spirit leaped for joy. And immediately I was instructed to share that message with you today. In Biblical numerology, 50 is the number for deliverance or restoration.
So be blessed by and receive these special Father’s Day blessings
1) Day #50: Have you RSVP’d to the Father’s invitation – Very special message and video sent from the Father’s heart to your heart
2) Learn about and receive The Father’s Blessings from Dr. Bruce Cook, someone who understands and regularly imparts this to others. Bruce says “The Father’s Blessing is life changing and it marks your spirit.”
3) Happy Fathers Day From Ann Sieg (2011)
4) A Father’s Day Poem…
God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle’s flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so, He called it…
