Sunday Inspiration: Inspiring Your Leadership, Releasing Your Purpose
Since hosting Pastor Donald Lee on the Tongues: Power and Blessings webinar on September 17 and Gary Beaton on his webinar Soaring Into Your Destiny on October 8, I have experienced breakthrough after breakthrough in my personal life, family, and business.
This past week I had the privilege of hosting Shaun Smit on a webinar titled “The Inspired Leader.” Shaun’s message was one of the best ones I have ever heard on leadership.
Shaun Smit is called by God to empower, equip, and strategically connect leaders for massive impact world-wide. He has more than 30 years of experience inspiring and training leaders internationally.
Here are just a few of the valuable lessons that Shaun taught:
Success is winning. Significance is helping others win. Success leaves a fingerprint on creation, while significance leaves a footprint on the soul.
Leadership is not titles. It is not position. If you cannot lead yourself, you cannot lead others. True leadership is your ability to lead your purpose. Your purpose is like a seal on your life. Managers organize everything, whereas a leader climbs a tall tree and shouts out, “We are in the wrong jungle.”
Most people are living in crisis management. They don’t know themselves. They don’t know what they do, why they do it, and how they do it.
If I know myself, then I can lead myself. If I know myself, then I know how to build relationships around me and I can influence and lead those relationships to the next level. Every Christian is called by God to be a leader.
Leadership is about taking charge (being accountable) over the realm God has given you. Leadership starts with you. If you aren’t leading by the inspiration of God, then you are manipulating to get your way. God wants you to lead you first. If you cannot lead you, you cannot be an inspirational leader.
We plan the way we want to live, but only God makes us able to live it. (Proverbs 16:9, The Message (MSG),King Solomon)
Counsel in the heart of man is like water in a deep well, but a man of understanding draws it out. (Proverbs 20:5, King Solomon)
[It is] the Spirit of God that made me [which has stirred me up], and the breath of the Almighty that gives me life [which inspires me]. (Job 33:4)
But there is [a vital force] a spirit [of intelligence] in man, and the breath of the Almighty [inspiration] gives men understanding. (Job 32:8)
Shaun’ teaching was so good that the next morning I was inspired to invest myself to sign up for his Inspired Leadership Blueprint [http://leaders777.com] coaching program that starts November 6, 2014.
Blessings to be an inspired leader who inspires others!
