Day #6 of 30 Days to Breakthrough – Benefits Of Keeping A Journal
Welcome to Day #6 of your “30 Days To Breakthrough” journey.
Yesterday, we shared about the importance of clear, written goals to succeeding on a big scale. If you missed that lesson, please go back and catch up. Do it NOW!
Today we’ll discuss benefits of keeping a journal. Today’s Link of the Day is a great resource to inspire you.
QUOTE
When the “WHY” gets big enough, the “HOW” will work itself out.
LESSON
As you journey through life with God, recording your adventure in a journal is a great help.
Journaling is simply a way of recording your journey with God. It helps you to pay more attention to God and is a way of way of learning to hear and respond to Him. By keeping a record you can see what God’s been doing, how far you’ve come, and where you’re going.
Keeping a journal will help you to see how God is working in your life.
QUESTION (write down what comes to your heart)
Lord, what can I do to help ensure that I journal every day?
How much time should I set aside to journal each day?
What time of the day should I journal?
And who is to hold me accountable?

Twelve Great Reasons To Journal
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we praise You as the greatest journaler of all time. Thank You for Your gift of the Bible. Help me to set aside the time each and every day to write down answers to the daily questions. Speak to me through the meditations of my heart. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
Blessings to record your journey with God every day!
Randy, as you well know by now, two way journaling with God is a passion of mine because it continually develops my intimacy with God, brings revelation about the Kingdom of God, as well as self discovery!
When I answered the question about how much time to set aside each day to journal He said a beautiful thing: “YOUR LOVE OF FELLOWSHIP WITH ME WILL BECOME A LIFESTYLE – A HABIT OF THE HEART – FOR I AM LOVE AND I INHABIT YOUR HEART. I AM THE BEST HABITATION YOU WILL EVER EXPERIENCE!”
When I asked what time of day should I journal He replied: “EARLY ON. THE EARLIER THE BETTER BEFORE OTHER THINGS CROWD ME OUT! I AM TO BE YOUR PRIORITY IF YOU WANT GOD SIZED RESULTS AND FRUIT IN YOUR LIFE FOR MY GLORY. IT IS THE BEST FRUIT THEIR IS BECAUSE IT IS ETERNAL AND WILL LAY UP RICHES FOR YOU IN HEAVEN!”
God is so faithful and He absolutely has our best interest at heart for His glory because it’s all about His everlasting LOVE! Praise the Lord forevermore!

Hi Nancy, Thank you for your inspirational comments on this Your Daily Blessing blog post about the “Benefits of Keeping a Journal.” I agree that your fellowship with the LORD has become a lifestyle. As 4-5 people told you during this week’s prayer calls, your messages at http://www.nancy777.com are coming straight from God’s heart. You have mastered the art of hearing God’s voice and through your blog and other social media, you now have a means to share this fresh manna with the world. Lord, what can I do to ensure I journal every day?
You know the benefits of journaling with Me to set the course for your day. In those times you miss doing it check in with Me to see if your priorities are in order. When you are too busy to take time to hear from Me you risk listening to the wrong voice.
How much time should I set aside to journal every day?
The more time you give Me the deeper I can take you. Only My Spirit can reveal the deep things in My heart. Come away with Me, Beloved. I am well worth your time. A half hour, an hour is nothing compared to eternal things.
What time of day should I journal?
Starting the day with Me honors Me greatly and you will be honored and greatly blessed in return.
And who is to hold me accountable?
Be accountable to My Holy Spirit, for I will lead you into all truth. I am your ultimate authority. Follow and answer to Me.
Prayer Power
Father God, You are the author and finisher of my faith. Thank You that You are true to Your Word that says, “Call unto Me and I will answer thee.” Thank you for this intimate way of communicating through journaling. Amen.
