Day #1: Seek the Kingdom of God
You can’t plan Pentecost. But if you seek God for ten days in an upper room, Pentecost is bound to happen.
and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God. And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; (Acts 1:3b-4)
How will you and your church be involved with the Global Day of Prayer (GDOP) in 2007?
Today on Ascension Day, millions of Christians will find ways to pray night and day throughout the next ten days leading to Pentecost, following the pattern of Christ’s followers before the first Pentecost.
On Pentecost Sunday (May 27, 2007) an estimated 300 million people will gather together from places all over the world to pray in one accord for the biblical hope of Christ’s glory and the transformation of all nations. Culpeper and Fredericksburg Virginia are both hosting GDOP assemblies during this pivotal 2007 year. See links below.

Here is a message from three leaders of the GDOP:
Brothers and sisters in Christ,
A rising movement of prayer for renewal and revival has swept across Africa and the earth like an incoming tide. In 2006 approximately 250 million Christians in 198 countries joined in repentance and prayer on the second ever Global Day of Prayer.
On May 27th, 2007, from the rising of the sun in the east and across each time zone until it sets, we look forward to joining with many millions across the world responding to this call from God to humble ourselves and pray. As one body we will worship our Lord, celebrate His majestic grace, turn from our sins and offer ourselves as a blessing to the nations.
Isaiah 66:18 says, “And I, because of their actions and their imaginations, am about to come and gather all nations and tongues, and they will come and see My glory.”
We are excited and expectant to “see His glory” and encourage all Christians from every denomination, church, community and family to join in this special day of repentance and prayer.
