Day #1 of 30 Days to Breakthrough – Redeeming The Time

16 Feb

Welcome to Day #1 of your “30 Days To Breakthrough” journey. When you change your thinking, you change your life.

Redeeming The TimeFor the next 7 days, we’ll be addressing the issue of Stewarding Your TIME. Today’s topic is “Redeeming The Time.”

Here is a summary of what we will cover this week:

Day 1 – Redeeming The Time
Day 2 – Slowing down
Day 3 – The importance of HABITS
Day 4 – PRIORITIES
Day 5 – Clear written GOALS
Day 6 – Benefits of keeping a journal
Day 7 – Leaving a rich legacy through journaling

Before we get started with today’s lesson, let me ask you:

Did you write the following on 3 little pieces of paper or sticky-notes and post those in prominent places you see frequently?

“Starting _____________ (date), I commit to journal every day for the next 30 days to become a better steward with my Time, Talent, Treasure, and Temple (body).”

If not, do it right now. This step is critical. Don’t skip it.

OK, here are today’s quote, lesson, question, link, and prayer.

QUOTE
TIME = LIFE. If you waste your time, you waste your life. — Rick Grubbs

LESSON
On January 21, 2010, I had the privilege of hosting a webinar with Rick Grubbs, founder of Life-Changing Seminars and Redeeming The Time radio. It was by far the best presentation TIME I have ever heard. To view that video, see today’s Link of the Day.

What does it mean to redeem the time?
a) Redeem = “to rescue from going to waste”
b) Time = “the passing of life”

Why is it so important to redeem YOUR time?
a) Time is limited
b) Death is certain
c) Our use of time brings ETERNAL consequences
d) Time is not recoverable
e) Time is our most valuable earthly possession
f) We must given an account of how we spend our time

What are ways to redeem YOUR time?
a) Learn how to wake up and get up
b) Get organized
c) Identify and eliminate time wasters
d) Conquer procrastination

Here are two guiding questions to redeem your time
a) What will be the fruit of this activity in 5 years?
b) What will be the fruit of this activity in eternity?

The real key to redeeming the time is to constantly ask myself “What does God want me to do RIGHT NOW?

QUESTION (write down what comes to your heart)
Lord, what time wasters can I start eliminating today to redeem my time?

Thanks Randy! Your 30 Days to Breakthrough is off to a great start to bear significant fruit for all those who commit to journal for 30 days what they hear from God and then put into practice! The statement: “WRITE IT DOWN MAKE IT HAPPEN” is so true. NOTHING CAN TOP A WORD FROM GOD THAT IS WRITTEN DOWN AND ACTED UPON BY FAITH!!!

Today when I asked God what time wasters I could start eliminating, this is what He told me:

“It all begins with what you are thinking because Kingdom living is a lifestyle produced by a way of thinking like Me acording to My Word. So the first and most essential time waster is to eliminate the thoughts that are contrary to My thoughts.”

In essence He was telling me to always ask Jesus what He would have me do so I could walk in the Spirit and not in the dead works of the flesh. By abiding in Him I would eliminate time wasters and I would exit the land of waste, lack and dead works and dwell richly in His promised land of abundance where He is. Praise God!

To your success in 30 days to breakthrough!

    I didn’t finish 30 Days to Breakthrough so I’m starting over…

Day 1 – Lord, what time wasters can I start eliminating today to redeem my time?

My Child, I have such a good plan for your life. Your highest calling is to call to Me and call on Me moment by moment so you can know My plan for your life.

I require intimate fellowship and unity with Me. I designed you for an intimate love relationship with Me. When you keep a God-inside-minded-consciousness, I will lead you by My Spirit. By doing this your days will be full of life, joy, and My love.

Eliminate the busy-nes and thoughts of things you “have to do” and simply start your day by asking Me, “LORD, WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO TODAY? WHAT WOULD PLEASE YOU?”

Start with Me and allow Me to walk and talk with you all throughout your day and night. We can accomplish much together and we will have fun and you will have a sense of joy, peace, fullness, and well-being.

Shall we start? I love that you love Me and that you asked Me what would please Me because it will truly please you also!
