Understanding
“Artillery in the spiritual world is prophetic intercession – hearing what the LORD is saying and then praying that into existence.” – Bob Sims
The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple. (Psalm 119:130)
What questions can you ask the LORD to have greater understanding with where He is leading?
Early this morning after I awoke and was lying in bed resting and reflecting, the LORD gave me several words – Understanding, Clarity, Noise, Simplify, and King. This week I’ll be elaborating on these.
We are living in very turbulent times – economically, socially, politically, etc. Good is being called evil and evil is being called good. With the noise and distractions, how do you focus on God? How do you know what to do and when to do it?
In last week’s Marching Through Culpeper prayer call on Tuesday March 11, Virginia Morton gave us “Understanding” as our keyword for the week. She shared that we have had a lot of prophetic words, especially recently, and need a deeper understanding of God’s words, especially with what her next steps are to be.
Virginia then shared these 4 scriptures that relate to understanding from God’s perspective:
Proverbs 3:5-6 – Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
Psalm 119:130 – The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.
Eph 5:15-17 – Eph 5:15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Luke 24:44-45 – Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.” And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.
By then end of the prayer call, Virginia had clarity with what her next step was to be. So asking the LORD for understanding and then praying with others who know the Word of God and believe it’s true resulted in godly understanding. Bob Sims then said, “Artillery in the spiritual world is prophetic intercession – hearing what the LORD is saying and then praying that into existence.”
Prayer Power
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Master plan. Thank You for prophetic intercessors. Thank You that by meditating on Your Word and praying with others we can receive clarity for what our next steps are to be. Teach each of us on a daily basis to ask You questions for guidance and then expect answers. Thank You Jesus. Amen and hallelujah!
