Gen. Eugene Habiger, former Executive Chief of Strategic Weapons at the Pentagon, said that an event of nuclear mega-terrorism on U. S. soil is “not a matter of if, but when.”

Then He spoke to them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near. So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.” (Luke 21:29-31)

What would happen to America’s economy and government if at least seven cities were hit with nuclear blasts on the same day?

Yesterday’s devotional titled “Wake Up Church” addressed the issue for all of us to have a greater sense of urgency to prepare the way for the second coming of Jesus. But most of us don’t really understand how desperate the times are in America.

On Sunday February 4, I received a major wake up call when I heard Dr. Paul Williams speak at the Church of Northern Virginia on the subject of the real threat of nuclear terrorism in America. I learned more about this subject in Dr. Williams’ 60-90 minute talk than I had my entire life.

For five years, Williams served as a senior consultant on organized crime and international terrorism for the FBI. He is an award-winning journalist and author, having written about 25 books. He is a frequent speaker for America’s Truth Forum. He has been the subject of a PBS documentary and the subject of programs on the Discovery and History channels. He is a frequent guest on such national news networks as Fox News, MSNBC, and NPR.

Dr. Williams explained that Osama Bin Laden has made it very clear and public what his intentions are.  Bin Laden believes Allah has given him a mandate to bring judgment to America because of specific wicked actions of our nation.

Bin Laden has received approval from the spiritual leaders of Islam to kill at least 10 million Americans on a single day in at least seven major cities through the use of nuclear weapons of mass destruction, not chemical, and not biological. At least 4 million of these people must be children because America was the first nation to inflict large scale casualties on civilians with nuclear weapons when it dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima to end World War II.

Dr. Williams said nuclear technology has advanced to the point where a 40 pound nuclear bomb carried in a suitcase can pack the explosive power of 10 kilotons of TNT, a force equal to or greater than the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima. Imagine that, a bomb in a suitcase that can destroy a significant part of a large city.
  
I learned that top U.S. government security officials acknowledge that al Qaeda operatives already have the nuclear weapons necessary to inflict the damage threatened on America. I learned that radical Islamic terrorists already have nuclear weapons within the U.S. and are currently training their militia in numerous terrorist camps throughout America.

Father, You’ve been warning Americans for years to turn back to You and away from our own wicked ways. Forgive us for pride, self-centeredness, and apathy. Only You can wake our nation up to save us from the impending severe terrorism planned for our nation. Let this message go out to the world! Wake up your church, O God. Have mercy on us! May America bless You Jesus, publically! Amen!
