Sunday Inspiration: The ONE Thing
The past 9 weeks have been extraordinary for me. In Jan 2013, I joined The Champions Club led by Vic Johnson, an outstanding coach, mentor, and leader. This turned out to be the best investment I made of my time, money, and energy all year. Vic’s coaching is having a profound impact on my personal life, business, and outreach.
On Sept 30, Vic launched a 12-week coaching program called Maximum Momentum. During this coaching program, Vic asked each participant to choose one ambitious goal. During our weekly webinars, Vic has been teaching us how to develop extreme focus, take a quantum leap, and achieve that goal.
On Mon Nov 18, the theme of the weekly Maximum Momentum training was The One Thing based on a book by Gary Keller. Later that day I ordered the Kindle version of that book and began reading it. Wow! What a great resource. The key question in that book was this:
What’s the ONE Thing I can do such that doing it everything else will be easier or unnecessary?
Thinking about this and the resulting focus led to my most special Thanksgiving holiday ever. It started by attending a luncheon on Nov 20 hosted by the Culpeper Ministerial Association with Bishop EW Jackson as our keynote speaker. Later that evening, I attended the annual Culpeper Community Thanksgiving service, which was my favorite ever. Mark Batterson, author of The Circle Maker, was the main speaker.
On Sun Nov 24, we had a family get together with Julia’s side of the family, including Caren and Robbie (our children) and Caren’s finance Seth.
On Mon Nov 25, Vic Johnson shared an outstanding message about the importance of GRATITUDE during the weekly Maximum Momentum webinar training.
On Tues Nov 26, I finally sent another prayer update to my intercessors after not doing so for many months. Later that day, I had a virtual meeting regarding the America Restored initiative. During that meeting, God opened the door for me to be able to reach thousands more people in the near future with my online coaching programs, starting with “I Was Busy – Now I’m Not.”
On Wed Nov 27, Caren, Robbie, and Seth came to visit for 3 days to celebrate Thanksgiving. My parents came over on Thanksgiving Day.
Yesterday during a conversation with Seth, I discovered how to set up and copy PDF files to the Kindle Fire I won at a Culpeper Chamber event two months ago. I copied several prayer PDF files to that and began praying for 2 hours using that last night. This is something I have wanted to do for several years.
After praying for 2 hours using my Kindle fire, I had an epiphany – the ONE Thing I can do to make everything else easier or unnecessary is PRAY.
So let me ask you, “What’s the ONE Thing you can do such that doing it everything else will be easier or unnecessary?”
Prayer Power
Heavenly Father, thank You for the many gifts you shower use with from above. Thank You for the gift of family and friends. Thank You for Thanksgiving, a special season to come together and show our gratitude to You and one another. Thank You for the coaches, teachers, and mentors You place in our lives to help us grow. Thank You for the recent major breakthrough I had regarding prayer. I pray that You will help those reading this message to identify one thing they can do to make everything else easier. Then give them the courage and commitment to follow through. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Lori is the wife of a former client of mine. In the video, she says “It’s all about dreams!”
This is my favorite version of an audio Bible. Zondervan released the New Testament portion in 2006, which sold more than 330,000 copies and was named book of the year by the Audio Publishers Association.
Blessings to identify the ONE thing you can do to make everything else easier or unnecessary!
