Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Pray Culpeper is committed to fostering unity in our community and thus has been running weekly prayer articles in the Culpeper News. The Lord has used these articles to unite previous strangers who have similar goals, and through this meeting of the minds and spirits we are planning our first community prayer walk.

We invite you to join us this Sunday Dec. 17th from 2-3 p.m. as we Prayer Walk Pearl Sample Elementary School. We will gather in the Community Room for the first 15 minutes to sing and share prayers led by our ministers. This room is not heated so dress warmly. Then we will divide into 4 teams. Three teams will walk designated areas of the interior of the building and pray for the students and teachers who occupy those areas. Teachers have been requested to leave specific prayer requests on their doors. The 4th team will prayer walk the exterior of the building, parking lot, and playground. The teams will reassemble in the Community Room at 2:50 for a closing prayer for unity and share a song.

What better way to celebrate the birth of our Savior than to tear down the walls of denomination, race, and culture that separate us and to come together in unity to pray for our children and our schools. We pray for the Lord’s blessing on this event and that He will make it one of the most spiritually uplifting and powerful happenings of the Advent Season. Please plan to join us and invite others whom you think might like to attend. This event is open to all. We realize this is a very busy season, so if you can only attend part of the Prayer Walk, feel free to come for whatever portion your schedule allows.

Prayer Power
Heavenly Father, God of love, thank You for the love that abounds during the Christmas season. Thank You for the opportunity to prayer walk Pearl Sample School on December 17. We commit our plans to you. Thank You for Your promise that our plans will then succeed. Make our team transparent to spread Your light, love, and power. Thank You Jesus. Let all of God’s people say, Amen.
