“If we don’t act on a good idea within 24 hours, we are less than 50% likely to ever act on it. If we haven’t acted on it inside of 7 days, then we are less than 2% likely to ever act on it.” – Bill Gates-Microsoft
“Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” (1 Corinthians 15:58)
What stepping stone has God placed in your way?
How does God want You to use that to advance His kingdom?
In my devotional on October 31, I shared a message about “Extraordinary Loyalty” that included an excerpt from an email by Zenon Andrusyshyn. I mentioned that Zee holds the world record for the longest punt in pro football history.
Zee recently stepped away in faith from his 22 year old role as director of the FCA in Tampa Florida to start his own ministry called Zenon Ministries. Yesterday I received his first daily reflection titled “Zee’s principles of success.” Here is an excerpt of that great message.
As I searched the title “Success” on Google, I was amazed that 42,800,000 sites came up with something to do with “Success.” Obviously, it would take a lifetime to search all these sites, so instead I looked into my personal writings and thoughts and found a 3 by 5 card with Six Principles that I wrote back early in my Christian walk in the 70’s.
Zee’s (6) Principles on Success
1. Take the word “can’t” out of your vocabulary, and insert the word “can.” If anyone else has done it, you can also do it. By understanding how our attitude and abilities help us make a difference in our own lives, and in the lives of others, people of all ages will discover for themselves that “anything is possible!” “I can do everything through HIM who gives me strength.” (Phip. 4:13) Educator Leo Buscaglia said, “Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.” Don’t underestimate what you CAN do! Each of us can do something, and the something you do may be more important than you’ll ever know.
2. Challenges are stepping stones, not stumbling blocks. Use these experiences for good. 1 Cor 15:58 “Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” “Do not fear risk. All exploration, all growth is calculated. Without challenge people cannot reach their higher selves. Only if we are willing to walk over the edge can we become winners.

Heavenly Father, thank You for Zee and his tremendous faith, loyalty, and work ethic. Thank You for the huge impact he has had on me ever since I first met him in 2004. Bless Zee, his wife, his family, and new ministry with uncommon favor. Make the last two months of 2007 his best ever. May his tribe increase greatly for Your Kingdom’s sake through the use of the Internet, Your supernatural highway of communication. Thank You Jesus. Amen.
