Last night before going to bed, I chose to read for 2.5 hours to still my mind and focus on the purposes of the LORD. This morning I got up early and spent hours basking in the LORD’s presence. It’s from this place of overflow that I now minister to you.
As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You, O God. (Psalm 42:1)
I received a lot of good feedback from last week’s Sunday Inspiration titled “Walk Across America.” Virginia Morton, author of Marching Through Culpeper, was one of those who chose to respond to that message.
As a result of our correspondence. Virginia gave me a copy of Steve and Susan Pappas’ movie “Treasure in Heaven” on DVD on Tues Sep 3. Julia and I watched that two days later. That movie spoke to me very strongly personally. I feel this message is one that is desperately needed in churches across America to bring us back as a nation to what matters most – living our lives built on the firm foundation of scripture and the Word of God.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word (Yeshua) was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men… And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:1-4,14)
Our society is flooded by seeker friendly churches. Yet there is not one instance of a seeker-friendly church in the Bible. For the sake of political correctness and growing our churches, we have watered down the truth of the Gospel.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)
Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. (1 John 2:22)
The very first time I met Dr. Jerry Falwell in person happened to be the 50th anniversary of him giving his heart to the LORD. I’ll never forget what he said on this special occasion, “Any Christian who is not rooted in the Word of God has no roots.”
America is spiritually bankrupt. That is why we are bankrupt as a nation financially, morally, and in our families. To save America, we must get at the root of the problem. And the root of the problem in America is famine of Word of God.
“Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord GOD, “That I will send a famine on the land, Not a famine of bread, Nor a thirst for water, But of hearing the words of the LORD. (Amos 8:11)
Do you know that the typical pastor in America spends less than 3 minutes per day in prayer? Yet Jesus said,
“My house shall be called a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves.” (Matthew 21:13)

Recently when I was talking to Anne Farmer about the book “As America Has Done To Israel,” she was prompted to give me another book – “Mirage: The Love Language of Islam! Wake Up America…Before It’s Too Late” by David Ibraham. David grew up as a member of a Christian minority in a predominantly Muslim country. He fled to America to save his life around 2004 and has been traveling and speaking to Christians in America since. This book is a real eye-opener. I highly recommend it.
Abba, Father, thank You for the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Thank You for Pastor Mark Jarvis, who led me to a personal relationship with Jesus and then discipled me to build my life on the solid foundation of the Word of God. Thank You for the men and women of God who You brought into my life subsequently to help me grow in my knowledge and understanding of You. Forgive me LORD for not taking a stronger stand for You over the past few years. Thank You for my renewed boldness and conviction. May You speak Spirit to spirit to those who read this message. Open their eyes of understanding to the times we live in. Help cast out the spirit of political correctness in America that is destroying our nation. It’s time for You LORD to “Wake up America!” We acknowledge that apart from Jesus Christ, there is no true peace. Thy Kingdom come and Thy will be done in America as it is heaven. In Yeshua’s name, we pray. Amen and hallelujah!
Blessings for ears to hear what the LORD is saying!
We are living in a time of incredible change and uncertainty. God is separating the wheat from the tares. The good is becoming better and the bad is becoming worse. How do you maintain your sanity and peace throughout all the turmoil? Obviously, immersing yourself in the Word of God is very helpful. But another way is to read, listen to, and watch messages that bring peace. The Prayer of St. Francis is one such message. Enjoy the videos.
