There are so many people who want the benefits of belonging to a church and have the appearance of being Godly, but they do not want to give everything over to God so they can be used by Him for His purposes. They believe they will inherit eternal life if they do good to their neighbor and keep the 10 commandments. Repentance is a change of our way of thinking that causes us to live in God's presence.
