Jesus, LORD of Virginia

Leaders have God-given authority to publicly invite Jesus to be LORD within their spheres of influence.

But in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets. (Revelation 10:7)

How can we best multiply this message in prayer circles around the world?

In 2005, Duke Aiona, a former judge and the current Lt. Governor of Hawaii, publicly invited Jesus to be LORD of Hawaii. The favorable consequences of his boldness were enormous and the ripple effects continue to grow, even in other states and countries.

Aiona said “Hawaii belongs to Jesus” and “God is behind this [the Transformation Hawaii evangelical movement]” and “I would like God to bless the people of Hawaii and see God’s love transform our state” and “Our schools will become God’s schools; our community will become God’s community; our city will become God’s city; our Islands will become God’s Islands; our state will become God’s state; and our Hawaii will become God’s Hawaii.”

After learning about this and watching the corresponding Harvest Evangelism DVD several times, I began thinking how great it would be for Governor Tim Kaine to publicly invite Jesus to be LORD of Virginia in 2007, the year we celebrate America’s 400th Anniversary with the founding of Jamestown.

Why not on Sunday April 29? This is the day for the huge celebration planned in Virginia Beach to re-dedicate America to God. I?ve been praying frequently for God to open this door. I think the first step is to get the Harvest Evangelism DVD into Tim Kaine’s hands so he can watch it. The second step would be to invite him to the re-dedication celebration to make his declaration.

Prayer Power
Father, with You all things are possible. It’s you who gave Gov. Tim Kaine his authority. You say that You steer the hearts of kings like rivers. So we ask You to work out the circumstances, prepare Tim Kaine?s heart and give him the courage to publicly invite Jesus to be LORD of Virginia on April 29, 2007. In the name of Yeshua Messiah we pray. Amen and Hallelujah!
