Day #5 of 30 Days to Breakthrough – Clear Written GOALS

20 February 2010 2 Comments

Welcome to Day #5 of your “30 Days To Breakthrough” journey.

Today’s topic is clear written GOALS. While most people know there is value in writing down their goals. only about 3% of people actually do it. Amazing.

Before we get started with today’s lesson, let me ask you, “How are your sticky notes working to remind you to read these emails and to write your answers to the questions each day?”

Failure to plan is a plan to fail. Few people plan to fail, but most fail to plan.

Brian Tracy, a motivational speaker, says “What does it take to succeed on a big scale? A tremendous God-given talent? Inherited wealth? A decade of postgraduate education? Connections? Fortunately, for most of us, what it takes is something very simple and accessible: clear, written goals.” A study of Harvard graduates found that after two years, the 3 percent who had written goals achieved more financially than the other 97 percent combined!”

Extrapolating from this, only 3 percent of people set written goals and those who do earn on average more than 30x as much as those who don’t.

In today’s Link of the Day, you can see my top annual goals for 2010. This will be helpful for you in setting your own goals.

QUESTION of the Day
Lord, what are reasonable goals for me to set and achieve in 30 days, 3 months, and one year from now as a result of this E-course?

Blessings of the Day

1) Annual goals for Dr. Joseph Peck

2) Brian Tracy: If You Could Achieve One Goal in 24 Hours

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we praise You as the Master with the master plan. I confess that I need your help to plan much better. I want more focus and clarity in my life. Will you be my Master Coach? In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.

Blessings to set clear written goals to be a good steward with your TIME!

Thank you so much for sharing such valuable, golden information! What a selflessness gesture, that is Jesus’ example right amongst us.
May the Lord continue to bless you and shield your families.

Hi Elke, Thank you for taking the time to share your encouraging remarks with the world on Your Daily Blessing blog post about “Clear Written Goals.” And thank you for your prayer for the LORD to bless us and our families. I noticed you are from Guatemala. Steve Burke, one of my friends who lives in Texas, visits Guatemala several times a year on mission trips. Steve’s ministry is The LORD Will Provide (www.theLORDwillprovide.org). Please contact Steve and let him know I referred you. I also recommend you contact Steve Cobb (http://instegt.org/blog2), another one of my friends who has spent the last 30 years setting up Bible schools in Central America. Let me know what comes from those connections. Blessings to experience new miracles! Randy
