Shortly after sending my email yesterday morning announcing the free Step Into Destiny webinar with Lisa Rae Preston on April 11, I received a reply from my good friend Will Green who wrote:

“All I can say is WOW! I took the test on Lisa’s web site and it is right on. I think I might be able to get a few dozen people on to the webinar tomorrow. Give me call on my cell after 9 AM.”

Well, I called Will as he requested and was so inspired by what he shared after taking Lisa’s free Step Into Destiny test that I asked him to send me a copy of the promotional email was sending to his friends.

In his email, Will wrote:

Dear Family,

This morning I received an email from a friend introducing me to a webinar at 3 PM tomorrow. Because I have the gift of curiosity I did a little discovery and found a simple test to define my passion. Being curious and already knowing my passion so I took the test, about fifteen minutes. It was dead on!

I think everyone I care about should take the test to cement in their spirit exactly what their dominant gift is. Why Mexico Matters

About 8 weeks ago, Laurie Roberts, the founder of ESC Works, cried out to the LORD for help, He heard and put a burden on my heart to help.

Since then the Holy Spirit has assembled a Master’s Mind Marketing tribe to bless Laurie, Bev (her partner), Ieesha (Laurie’s daughter), and ESC Works in ways that bring tears to my eyes.

Laurie and her team are currently caring for and educating orphans in Mexico. Jesus says that when we do that we are caring for Him.

I believe ESC Works is “the spiritual gateway to Mexico.” Their work is very near and dear to God’s heart.

The Vision for ESC works is to be a well-known and widely connected gateway to Mexico, creating many and varied opportunities for people from all over the world to:

learn Spanish quickly and easily in a Latin American cultural setting, or online
engage with Mexican businesses
join in the fight against poverty and hopelessness in Mexico through

- acts of service
- sharing of skills
- financial support

So what? Now what?

During our weekly Master’s Mind Marketing meeting on Wed March 28, Lauri shared an excerpt from a new online article by Robert D. Kaplan titled “With the Focus on Syria, Mexico Burns.”

That article states:

While the foreign policy elite in Washington focuses on the 8,000 deaths in a conflict in Syria — half a world away from the United States — more than 47,000 people have died in drug-related violence since 2006 in Mexico. A deeply troubled state as well as a demographic and economic giant on the United States’ southern border, Mexico will affect America’s destiny in coming decades more than any state or combination of states in the Middle East. Indeed, Mexico may constitute the world’s seventh-largest economy in the near future.

A Tribute to Burt Swardstrom

Burt Swardstrom

had a tremendous impact on my life. He served as a spiritual father for me and always treated me as if I was one of his own children. I’m going to miss him a lot.

This morning I received the email message below informing me that my good friend Burt Swardstrom went quietly and peacefully to be with the LORD.

I first met Burt at a Promise Keepers event at the Charleston Civic Center in West Virginia on July 9 2004. It was Burt who taught me the importance of praying for our media leaders because media has the greatest impact on our culture.

In October 2004, my wife and I went to Hollywood for the very first annual National Media Prayer Breakfast. Burt Swardstrom treated us like royalty.

In April 2006, Burt and I shared a room at the hotel where the International Transformation Network meeting in Brooklyn New York sponsored by Harvest Evangelism. It was there that Burt first met Virginia Morton and got connected to the Marching Through Culpeper prayer team.

“Whoever controls the media controls the culture!”

Media has a greater influence on our culture than anything else. Burt Swardstrom served as the Director of Communications (Prayer Coordinator) for Mastermedia International for years. For more than 25 years, Mastermedia has been building trust relationships with the most influential media leaders in the world.

Mastermedia’s motto is “Taking the world’s most powerful message to the world’s most powerful messengers!”

Holding degrees from Wheaton (Illinois) college, Fuller Seminary, and an honorary doctorate, Burt Swardstrom had a broad background. He was a Senior Vice President with Primerica, a church pastor and denominational leader for twenty-four years, and founder and President of Men on the Cutting Edge.

Posting today on CaringBridge website for my Dad, Burt Swardstrom…

Dear Cherished Friends,

Yesterday, Dad was more alert than he had been in weeks. The entire family was in town (Hollie, Lilly, Peter, Jen, Jon, Rachel and Doug). We spent the entire day by his side in his hospital room – reflecting on and sharing with Dad the memories of his life. We shared laughter and tears – with Dad occasionally lightening the moment with his sense of humor.

We each spent individual time letting him know how much we loved him, and how proud and grateful we were for his life and dedication to the Lord, his family, friends, and others. We spent time reading the Guestbook entries from all of you on this website – which lifted his spirits. We sang songs together in his hospital room and prayed together. We could feel the presence of the Holy Spirit. It was a very special day with him – an early Fathers Day gift that we will always remember. One of the most special moments was when Mom and he recommitted themselves to each other.

This morning, Dad went quietly and peacefully to be with the Lord. He is now celebrating Fathers Day with both his Dad, and his Heavenly Father. He was welcomed by those he ministered and led to the Lord during his life. While we will miss him, we look forward to seeing him again some day.

We are now in the process of making arrangements. It is Dad’s request that we have a service that celebrates his life and the Lord he served. We will be updating this site with the details in the next few days. Please feel free to pass along this information to others.

Webinar tonight to empower leaders and widows

When I went to the Kingdom Economic Yearly Summit in February 2011, one of the first new people I met was CarolMarie Smith.

CarolMarie is an international speaker and writer, inspiring audiences worldwide to bring widows into their place of power. She is the co-author of the “Widows Ministry Leadership Training” manual that has been translated into six languages and used around the world.

CarolMarie Smith is the founder of He’s My Husband International and is passionate about empowering leaders and widows. She has been a widow for 11 years and knows what it is like to know God as her Husband. God says that He certainly hears the cry of the fatherless and the widow and that He will establish the border or territory or boundary of the widow.

CarolMarie connects widows with businesses, with churches, with communities, with the different mountains that they have been called to as far as their assignment. And she teaches these widows how to undergird and how to pray and how to take that mountain.

CarolMarie introduced me to several of her good friends including Judith Nichols Moore and her husband Dan Moore. Judith is the President of Widows International, while Dan is the owner of Moore Freight Service.

One of the things that really grabbed my attention was Dan’s story of hiring a few widows as paid intercessors for his business 2-3 years ago and how that helped his business grow from $1 million to $50 million per year. Moore Freight was named as one of America’s fastest growing companies by Inc.500/5000 for the third consecutive year.

What will your epitaph say? – webinar today

Convergence is the PLACE where God’s circumstances, your heart, your talent, your influence, and your social capital converge to maturity.

Incidentally, this morning around 7:30 am when I was walking my dog and praying on this gorgeous, crisp morning, I noticed three airplane jet streams converging. What I sensed God say is that He is converging my life supernaturally right now. Perhaps that applies to your too.

A BLOG is 10-10-10

A blog is 10x cheaper than a traditional website to set up, 10x cheaper to maintain, and at least 10x more effective when it comes to being able to be found in search engines like Google, Youtube, and Yahoo.

I’ve seen churches pay $5,000 for a traditional website by some “expert” for something I could have created in 4-8 hours. I think to myself,”Is that being a good steward with godly resources?”

One of my passions is helping you share your stories with the world. And a blog is a cheap and easy way to do that. What makes you UNIQUE – different than anyone else in the world – is your STORY.

I’m passionate about teaching people to blog and use webinars for several reasons. One reason is because there is a huge VOID. Do you know that less than 10% of businesses, ministries, and churches have a STRATEGIC web presence. And yet the web is the #1 business tool of the 21st century.

If you check with most chambers of commerce, you’ll find that only about 50% of businesses, ministries, and churches have a website and most of those have traditional websites, which are basically like online brochures – not really interactive.

In sharp contract, a BLOG is highly interactive and can be made to automatically interface with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and more social media sites.

As you’ve heard me mention before, Ann Sieg, a highly successful internet marketer, says “Blogs are still the fastest, easiest and most reliable way to get free traffic online. A blog is the critical central HUB needed to make all your social media activity pay off. If content is king, then your blog is your castle!”

But perhaps the best reason to blog is that BLOGGING IS TRANSFORMATIONAL. Even if no one reads you’re blog, you will be transformed as you share authentic messages over time.
