The webinar started off with spiritual fireworks when Brian Francis Hume shared a powerful prophetic message about coaching at the start of the webinar. This fresh manna Brian received earlier that morning ministered to the hearts of every panelist and I expect most of the attendees. That set the tone for everything else that happened.

Dr. Joseph Umidi’s opening slide summarized the significance of coaching stating “21st Century Coaching is a “fullness of time” Spirit-led mandate for the Kingdom of God.” And Dr. Cook summarized Dr. Umidi’s presentation by sharing that he sees coaching as a very important STRATEGY.

Janet Daughtry’s presentation and interaction with Sharon Graham and the other panelists was fantastic. She exuded love and confidence while presenting valuable insights about the important of coaching and networking among Christian coaching organizations in the future.

About 2-3 months ago, the Holy Spirit prompted me to attend an early morning breakfast gathering at the IHOP (“International House of Prayer” aka International House of Pancakes) in Culpeper, Virginia. I did this to support Pastor Jeff Light, the new President of the Culpeper Ministerial Association. Jeff started these weekly gatherings for pastors (pulpit ministers) and marketplace ministers to be able to meet regularly, “break bread” together, and pray for and with one another.

As God would have it, Pastor Doug Farmer was a guest at the first meeting I attended. He was there to talk about hosting a Transforming Men’s Hearts Retreat at Shenandoah Springs in Madison in May. Shenandoah Springs is a beautiful 135 acre retreat facility in a rural setting with simple lodging and accommodations, an ideal environment to allow visitors to slow down and smell the roses.

The timing of this was interesting because for the past half a year, our weekly Marching Through Culpeper prayer team had been praying for men to rise up to be the spiritual fathers and leaders of their homes that God calls them to be. For our culture to be transformed, men must awake and arise to their godly calling. And as Joseph’s step forward, Esther’s must also come forth.

Because of my obedience in listening to and heeding the still small voice of God, He placed me in the right place at the right time. As a result, I have been blessed with the opportunity to be one of the 10 speakers at the Transforming Men’s Hearts Retreat on May 14 and 15.

This morning, the Holy Spirit woke me up very early to pray, read, and then journal. After praying on my knees a few minutes, I was led to read the first 3 chapters from The Love Dare. During my very special quiet time the LORD blessed me with His key message for the Transforming Men’s Hearts Retreat next weekend – “Love is patient. Love is kind.” (1 Corinthians 13:4)

On Easter of 2009 (April), Matt Gregory, my pastor at Soul Purpose Church (SPC), began teaching a 4 week sermon series called “One Month To Live” based on a book by that title by Kerry and Chris Shook. Their slogan is “Live life with no regrets.” I actually wrote a series of devotionals about that.

On Day 1 titled “Introduction – Living The Dash,” the Shooks write, “If we all lived as if we had one month left on this earth, we would each spend our days differently, in ways unique to us, and yet I believe we would all experience more fulfilling lives that could leave a legacy for eternity.”

After reading the first chapter, I immediately acted on the first “Make It Last for Life” assignment – “As quickly as possible, without thinking too hard or too long, make a list of five things you’d change about your life if you knew you only had a month to live. Choose at least one to begin changing today, right now.”

The very first of 5 things I wrote down was this, “Complete everything associated with my journaling e-book, including 1) Revise my free e-book, 2) Create 11 auto-responders, 3) Narrate book, 4) PRESS release. This will create substantial residual income for Julia and leave a tremendous legacy. ”

Finally, 9 months (not 30 days) later, I’m pleased to report that I just revised my free journaling e-book into a free E-course titled “30 Days To Breakthrough.” And I’ve already written the messages (autoresponders) for the first seven days. This may be the greatest legacy I ever leave behind.

So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. (Matthew 17:20)

Where is your faith right now? Where do you want it to be 1 month, 3 months, 12 months, and 3 years from now?

Wow! Yippee! Hooray! That’s how I feel right now. My spirit is jumping for joy. Why? Because I’m experiencing breakthroughs and also because I experience God in extraordinary ways for extraordinary fruit almost every day. And this morning was no exception.

Let me explain. For the past year, we have had a Coaches Mastermind Group that meets virtually (online) every other week. In October 2009, two of our members opened the door for five of us to take Janet Daughtry’s 10-week Breakthrough Coach Training course starting in early November.

Around that same time, my son Robbie asked me to resume coaching him again on a weekly basis. The breakthroughs my son is experiencing in several areas of his life are extraordinary. I have never before witnessed someone grow so fast. Robbie has been my best coaching client ever. In addition, as a result of coaching Robbie, I am experiencing breakthroughs in several areas of my life. It’s fun, it’s family, it’s fulfilling, and it’s fruitful.

This morning I sent an email to Janet Daughtry. In that I wrote, “Thank you for another inspiring Breakthrough Coach Training session yesterday. You and this course are having a profound and positive impact on me and my thinking. This is definitely your gift, passion, and God-given assignment.”

Let me share a little of what transpired in the past week.

God has really been working on my heart to bless the people of Haiti. On Monday Jan 18, the Holy Spirit directed the focus of our weekly Words From Jesus virtual prayer call to be for the people and nation of Haiti. Bertha Hinson, Renato Amato (Italy), Lynne Lee (U.K.), Nancy Slocum, and I all participated in that call.

Then on Wednesday night Jan 20, Bertha sent me an email asking for my help in hosting a webinar with Gary LeBlanc, founder of Mercy Chefs, who is planning to go to Haiti shortly to bring not only quality physical food, but spiritual food as well.

The next day (Thurs Jan 21), I attended my first-ever meeting with The C12 Group in Charlottesville from 9:30 am – 4 pm. What is The C12 Group?  “Christian CEO’s and Owners Building Great Business For A Greater Purpose!“

Later that evening, Carrie Stone and I hosted Rick and Carrie Grubbs, founders of Life Changing Seminars, for the their first-ever webinar titled “Redeeming The Time!” Over the past 25 years, Rick has shared this divine message to live audiences more than 1,500 times in more than 20 nations of the world. Carrie Stone, Virginia Morton, and I all agreed this is the best presentation on TIME any of us have ever heard. It was just good. It was just great. It was God speaking to us through Rick and Carrie on how to redeem our time.

During my two-way journaling time the next morning (Jan 22), the LORD told me:

1) Yesterday, your eyes were opened wide by Rick Grubbs to the value of time, that Time = LIFE. When you waste time, you waste your life.

2) To be a catalyst to save more than one billion souls, you must BE a great leader – a level 5 leader as the author of “Good to Great” wrote.

3) Yesterday, I showed you at The C12 Group meeting that Thinking Big and Acting Small (humility) is the key to every highly successful business.

After the weekly Words From Jesus prayer call on Jan 25, Bertha and I met to finalize our plans for the webinar with Gary LeBlanc later that afternoon. After a powerful discussion, we settled on the title “Haiti: The Integrity of God” based on prophetic words she had received from the LORD earlier that morning. Bertha shared that FEAR is the number one tactic of the enemy!

The live webinar with Gary LeBlanc and Bertha was awesome. The stories Gary shared and his passion were so inspirational. Gary shared how Mercy Chefs is “feeding the sheep,” both physically and spiritually. And that’s what Haiti desperately needs. Humanitarian aid alone is not sufficient for long-term solutions to long-standing problems. There is a spiritual undercurrent to everything.

Then what happened yesterday, blew me out of the water. God’s presence, miracles, and messages are becoming so prominent. I had gone to bed the night before around 9:30 pm and woke up at 3:30 am to use the bathroom. When I came back to bed, I was wide awake, so I decided to listen to my scheduled iTunes playlist for Day #26. Then I lay in bed a short while while resting and reflecting. The primary thought that came to my mind is “TEACHING SELLS.”

After getting up around 5:00 am, I came to my desk and immediately began to journal. Within 15 minutes, I was prompted to post a new entry at Journal777 titled “#WFJ: THINKING BIG and ACTING SMALL (humility) is the key to every highly successful business“ using my January 22 two-way prayer.

When I met with Robbie less than one hour later (7 am) for our weekly “Breakthrough Coaching” session, the Holy Spirit prompted to briefly share about this Journal777 post. Robbie then said, “Dad, every time I talk to you, it seems whatever you bring up is related to what I’m just doing.” Robbie then shared how he just started reading a book the day before called “The Magic of THINKING BIG” by David Schwartz.

At 10:45 am, during our weekly Team Destiny meeting for a Web 2.0 client, I received an email from Frank Meadows, founder of the Meadows Healing Prayer Center asking me to call him for help updating his website. It’s interesting that I had been prompted to call Frank several times in the past few weeks even though I hadn’t spoken to him for about 12 months. When I called Frank, I learned that his wife’s boss is Gary LeBlanc wife and that Frank’s son Ryan will be going to Haiti with Gary and Mercy Chefs.

Is it a small world? I don’t think so. We live in a big world with a BIGGER God. Every time something like this happens, God is winking at us saying here I AM. I AM a God of miracles. I AM supernatural. I defy all odds.

Well, if that wasn’t enough, when I joined the weekly Marching Through Culpeper prayer call later yesterday afternoon, Virginia Morton told our prayer tribe that our keyword for this week is FAITH – faith bigger than our fears. And Carrie Stone happened to be on that call. Carrie wrote a book recently titled “BREAKING THE PARALYSIS OF FEAR.”

So that brings us back to the original title of today’s message “How much faith do YOU have and how much do you want?”

Where is your faith right now? Where do you want it to be 1 month, 3 months, 12 months, and 3 years from now?

Over the past 8 years, God has used journaling, coaching, and my life experiences to build tremendous FAITH. That’s something I can TEACH and pass on to you if you’re interested. I frequently tell people, “I’m allergic to small thinking!” So is God. As Hebrews 11:6 states, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

SO WHAT? NOW WHAT?

THE Offer

Yesterday, the LORD told me to OFFER 5-weeks of BREAKTHROUGH COACHING to 3 people for $5000 each starting next week, the first week of February. What one new habit will you focus on in January 2010 to set the stage for the most fruitful year and decade of your life?

I want to start off this new year and new decade by sharing with YOU one of the most profound messages about habits I have ever come across.

In his book “The Greatest Salesman in the World,” Og Mandino wrote “Good habits are the key to all success!” Dr. Mike Murdock, founder of the Wisdom Center, writes “Successful people do daily what unsuccessful people do occasionally!”

Dr. Jerry Falwell was known as a man of “Every day” – living out daily habits that bore much fruit. One of Dr. John Maxwell’s latest books is titled “Make Today Count: The Secret of Your Success Is Determined by Your Daily Agenda.”

Do you get it? Good habits are the key to YOUR success. But how do you go about establishing good habits?

I believe in Chapter 5 of his book “The Power of Less,” Leo Babauta shares one of the simplest and most powerful answers. Here is what Leo writes:

“The only way you’ll form long-lasting habits is by applying the Power of Less: focus on one habit at a time, one month at a time, so that you’ll be able to focus all your energy on creating that one habit.”

Leo then recommends a 30-DAY CHALLENGE. Here’s how it works:

1. Select one habit for the Challenge. Only one habit per month. You can choose any habit – whatever you think will have the biggest impact on your life.

2. Write down your plan. You will need to specifically state what your goal will be each day, when you’ll do it, what your “trigger” will be (the event that will immediately precede the habit that’s already a part of your routine – such as exercising right after you brush your teeth), who you will report to (see below).

3. Post your goal publicly. Tell as many people as possible that you are trying to form your new habit. I suggest an online forum, but you could email it to coworkers and family and friends or otherwise get the word out to a large group.

4. Report on your progress daily. Each day, tell the same group of people whether or not you succeeded at your goal.

THE RULES

There are only a few rules you need to follow to make this Challenge a success. If you follow these rules, it would be hard for you not to form a new habit by the end of the 30 days.

Do only one habit at a time. Do not break this rule, because I assure you that if you do multiple habits at once, you will be much less likely to succeed. Trust me – I’ve tried both ways many times, and in my experience there is 100% failure for forming multiple habits at once, and a 50-80% success if you do just one habit at a time – depending on whether you follow the rest of these rules.

Choose an easy goal. Don’t decide to do something really hard, at least for now. Later, when you’re good at habit changes, you can choose something harder. But for now, do something you know you can do every day. In fact, choose something easier than you think you can do every day. If you think you can exercise for 30 minutes a day, choose 10 minutes – making it super easy is one of the surest ways to ensure you’ll succeed.

Choose something measurable. You should be able to say, definitively, whether you were successful or not today. If you choose exercise, set a number of minutes or something similar (20 minutes of exercise daily, for example). Whatever your goal, have a measurement.

Be consistent. You want to do your habit change at the same time every day, if possible. If you’re going to exercise, do it at 7 a.m. (or 6 p.m.) every day, for example. This makes it more likely to become a habit.

Report daily. You could check in every 2 or 3 days, but you’ll be more likely to succeed if you report daily. This has been proven over and over again in the Challenges.

Keep a positive attitude! Expect setbacks now and then, but just note them and move on. No embarrassment in this challenge.

MY HABIT TO FOCUS ON IN JANUARY 2010

Here is what Jesus told me during my 2-way journaling time today:

Randy, the habit I want you to focus on in January is Journaling using “Yesterday… and Prayer Power” and “3 MIT’s (Most Important Tasks).” Every day I want you to take at least one action step toward your annual goal of selling one million copies of UNCOMMON Journaling for Breakthroughs. As Seth said, set a goal of selling 500 copies of UJFB in January. You can take a step toward that goal today by writing a YDB devotional about habits today. Start now. Share what I have placed on your heart. Call it The Power of Less.

Prayer Power
Heavenly Father, thank You for working in my life to reveal the secret of establishing powerful new habits – focusing on only one each month. Touch the hearts of those who read and listen to this message to take the 30-Day challenge and apply this very important life lesson. Speak to each one of them as to what one habit You want them to focus on during the next 30 days. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen and Hallelujah!

Today was another historical day of taking a stand for the WFJ GLOBAL MOVEMENT. Team destiny hosted their final of three WFJ (Words From Jesus) webinars in December 2009 called “The Miracle of Christmas.”

Dr. Joseph Peck served as the global connector and host of this webinar. The guest panelists were: Deb Smith, Richard Mayhan, Bertha Hinson, and me, Abigail Slocum. Clearly the Holy Spirit took control of the webinar before it ever started and never let go!

God is on the move and doing amazing things in this earth! He continues to draw the body of Christ together in unity for His purposes. People may not be aware of all or see all that the Lord is doing but He truly is “CONNECTING THE DOTS”.

Upon awakening this morning I received a WFJ (Word From Jesus). It was just in time and so appropriate for the second webinar of three taking place at 8AM today. Dr. Joseph Peck was hosting the Words From Jesus: How To Hear God’s Voice Webinar. Today’s topic was “The $14,400 Miracles!” The guest panelists were Doug Barclay, Bob Sims, and Bertha Hinson. During this life-changing, world changing webinar, they shared what Dr. Peck considered to be their BIGGEST GOD STORY FOR THE PAST SEVEN YEARS!

Without knowing what was going to be said today, this is what Jesus spoke to my heart. It’s so amazing how He is always right on time and right on target!

Now is the time of seedtime and harvest. I AM MOVING IN THIS EARTH IN UNUSUAL WAYS. I am the Lord of the Harvest. As long as the earth remains there is seedtime and harvest. I am planting My Word in the hearts of My people worldwide and they are speaking it out and it will bear much fruit. I DO NOT COMPROMISE MY WORD. It does not return void and it is accomplished.

MY WORD WILL BRING BILLIONS OF SOULS INTO MY KINGDOM. The Great Commission is going forth. I am also calling My people to sow financial seeds to bring in this end time harvest. SEEDS SOWN IN MY NAME FOR MY PURPOSES WILL REAP A GOD SIZED HARVEST. SPREAD MY WORD. SPREAD YOUR GIVING AND PARTAKE OF MY GLORY.

In October 2002, I first met Doug Barclay at a Fellowship of Christian Athletes retreat at The Cove in Asheville, NC. As a result of our discussion, Doug left his full-time job in sales to pursue full-time ministry work with Operation Mobilization.

Through a most peculiar series of circumstances, I was eventually prompted by the Holy Spirit to sow an UNCOMMON $14,4000 (12 x $1,200) seed into Doug’s life in February 2003, which was my largest financial gift up to that time. It so happened this was the exact amount (to the dollar) Doug needed to begin work with Operation Mobilization and he began his new job on 03-03-03. Coincidence? I don’t think so. Numbers are significant to God.

An UNCOMMON seed always yields an UNCOMMON harvest. An UNCOMMON seed is one inspired by Holy Spirit for a God-sized result.
