God is a God of ORDER. Period. Order honors God. Order honors YOU. Think about it. When you have a clean desk, you think more clearly. When you have a clean house, you can find things easily. When you keep a budget, you tell your money where to go instead of wondering where it went. When you plan your days and weeks well, you accomplish more and fit in the most important things in your life. This morning I received an email from Dr. Mike Murdock titled “Make Prayer Time An Appointment!” That’s why I’ve fallen in love with The 60-60 Experiment.

On October 9, 2011, I began The 60-60 Experiment recommended by John Burke in his book Soul Revolution. Within a few days I began experiencing several profound breakthroughs. For example, I completely cleared my Inbox for Gmail, something I had wanted to do for several years, but never could before no matter how hard I tried. How does The 60-60 Experiment work? For 60 days you commit to connect to God at least every 60 minutes.

God defines success in terms of faith, not just professed belief in Him, but active, daily, risk-taking trust like that of the great people of Hebrews 11. Trust and faithfulness form the foundation of every relationship. God hungers for you to hear His voice so desperately. This is what God created you for. This is what He called you for. This is God’s heart passion for you. He loves you and wants to give Himself to you. As I reflect back on this past year (2011), a consistent theme emerges – “Intimacy with God”

In the past week, I have received three emails from Jeff Bernstein, my friend.and the founder of Gates of Zion, alerting me and others to fast and pray on Yom Kippur for three things. So in obedience to the Holy Spirit, I pass Jeff’s very important message on to you. According to Rabbi Ralph Messer of Simchat Torah Beit Midrash, Yom Kippur is God’s most holy day. It is “the sabbath of sabbaths!”

Recently I’ve been doing a lot of research about thought leadership. Part of what inspired this curiosity is the Mission of St Luke’s School. In the past week, I changed the slogan for my main company (Empower 2000, Inc) to “Empowering and Connecting a new generation of THOUGHT LEADERS.” But what is THOUGHT LEADERSHIP and how do you do it?

I have heard it said that the greatest thing undermining education in the public schools in America is the teaching of EVOLUTION as fact and the complete dismissal of CREATION as a possibility. Is this true? And does this really matter to you and me?

Of the dozens of Old Testament leaders, only about one – fourth of them finished well. Isn’t that amazing? These man and women had been personally picked by God to accomplish His Divine plan, and yet, they fell so short and on so many occasions. I think that if we analyzed these leaders, we would find they fell into many of the pitfalls we are examining in this chapter.

How big is your God? My God created the heavens and the earth. He parted the Red Sea. He made water come out of the rock and sent manna daily from heaven. My God gave His best – his only begotten Son Jesus – so that I might have eternal life. He is wisdom. He is understanding. No man or army can can stand against Him. With my God all things are possible. One day of favor from my God is worth more than a lifetime of labor. What about you? Is that the God you serve? Do you manifest that kind of faith in your day to day living? Can people around you tell?
