Loves Like A Hurricane

Yesterday I hosted a webinar titled “The Story Behind The Story: Ken McArthur and The Impact Manifesto.” During that webinar, Ken shared one of the most inspiring stories offering HOPE I have ever heard.

Then this morning I received an email from Doug Spada that reached to the core of my being and brought tears to my eyes. Doug wrote,

Hey Joseph,

You bless people so much. You inspire me with your gift of communication and love to others. I look forward to connecting on couple levels very soon. Ryan will see to it!!

The reason I am writing is that Ryan’s 16th is today. I am writing a handful of men that Ryan respects and admires. You are on that list – yea! I would so appreciate it if you could write Ryan a short email note speaking blessing on his life on this very special day.

What a wonderful thing for a father to do for his son to to ask for a favor like this. I took prompt action and sent a Dayspring e-card sharing a profound and prophetic message from God’s heart through my heart to Ryan’s heart. As I did that my eyes were filled with tears once again.

Then I began writing my reply to Doug. As I did that, the God story grew. Special memories starting coming to my mind as I reviewed photos from when I first met Doug in Aug 2006 at the Founder’s Inn when Os Hillman hosted the International Coalition of Workplace Ministries Leaders Roundtable. Of all the new people I met there, Doug’s message impacted me the most.

Doug is the founder of WorkLife: Finding Life In Work and the recent author of “Monday Morning Atheist.”

When I think of Doug, I think of the word HUMILITY and this scripture

By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches and honor and life.” (Proverbs 22:4)

As I was writing my email to Doug this morning, I was prompted to create this new YDB blog posted titled “Loves Like A Hurricane.” That’s the way Doug love his children. It’s wonderful for me to see that. Thank you Doug for being a wonderful father and man of God!

Yesterday I received the American Family Association’s ACTION newsletter for January 2012 in the mail. What was written on the outside of that envelope grabbed my attention, so I opened it and read the message from Tim Wildmon, President of the AFA.

How to drive secularists crazy

What Tim Wildmon wrote about the Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow really struck a cord with me.

This morning while I was lying in bed, the Holy Spirit instructed me to intercede for Tim Tebow today.

I thought the Denver Broncos were playing their wildcard playoff game today, but it turns out they are playing the Pittsburgh Steelers at home tomorrow (Sunday January 8) at 3:30 pm. This game will be broadcast on CBS.

When I was at my desk, I was led to do some kind of Google search about Tim Tebow. This led to more interest and more research. Then I was prompted to write my Sunday Inspiration for tomorrow and titled that “My Sports Hero Is Tim Tebow.”

After doing that, I was prompted to spend 90 minutes typing all four pages of Tim Wildmon’s January 2012 newsletter and posting that message on Your Daily Blessing blog.

In the process of doing that, I came across Rod Stone’s YouTube video titled “The Prayer” and Janet Parshall’s 60-minute documentary “Speechless…Silencing the Christians.”

So what? Now what?

Tim Tebow is under terrific spiritual attack.

When Tim took over as the starting quarterback for the Denver Broncos in mid season this year, Denver went on to win 7 out of 8 games, before losing their last 3 and barely squeaking into the playoffs. This was a strong spiritual attack.

According to Seth Ross, my daughter’s fiance, Tim is not well liked by the new Broncos head coach (John Fox) and general manager (John Elway).

God is asking us to intercede for Tim Tebow today and during tomorrow’s football game. Will you join me?

Tim Tebow is a good athlete and a wonderful godly role model for young people. Perhaps more than anyone in professional football today, Tim Tebow is taking a strong and open stand for Jesus. His religious style is so bold, and his character so distinctive, that both are impossible to ignore.

In 2007, Tim won the Heisman Trophy for college football, the first college sophomore ever to do that. In December 2009, he was drafted by the Denver Broncos as the 25th overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft.

On Sunday January 8, 2012 Tim will lead the Denver Broncos in a wild card game against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Mile High Stadium in Denver.

Heavenly Father, LORD GOD Almighty, thank You for Tim Tebow. Thank You for plucking him out of the arms of death before he was born and for giving him the gift of godly parents to raise him up in Your ways. Thank you for Tim’s many successes and tremendous talent as a quarterback. Thank You for his bold stand for You. Thank You that Tim understands what a godly order of priorities are and that he manifests those. Thank You for the great role model he is to our youth. Father, I ask You to greatly encourage and inspire Tim today, tomorrow, and in the upcoming weeks. Grant him extraordinary favor. Help Tim to feel and respond to the prayers of the saints from around the world. Bless Tim as he leads the Denver Broncos tomorrow against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Grant him and his team favor that they may glorify Your name. May Your critics be silenced as Tim rises up to glorify You. We praise You Father and bless Your holy name. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen and hallelujah! Glory to GOD!

It’s hard to believe another year has passed by so quickly. Yet the dawning of a new year brings much hope and anticipation.

For me the saddest event of the past year was the unexpected death of one of neighbors.

While 2011 was full of many happy moments and wonderful blessings, one of my favorite highlights was the opportunity to attend and speak at the Kingdom Economic Yearly Summit (KEYS) in February. Thank you Dr. Bruce Cook for opening that door.

I’m thankful for the many family get togethers we enjoyed and for the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people from around the world through the webinars I hosted. Thank you to all of you who chose to attend those.

On December 8, 2011, I sent an email to about 1,500 of my subscribers inviting them to a webinar later that evening titled “Keys to Supernatural Favor and Increase.” In response to my email, Marlee Huber, founder of You Flourishing Life, sent a reply stating:

2012 will be a year of declarations and declaring favor should be our top priority!

This evening after walking our dog Maui, I discovered a new email from Uncle Dick Kim, a wonderful man of God. His email is what prompted me to send you this email. He wrote:

This was an unexpected treat that we are delighted to share. The singer, Sissel, is a Norwegian soprano with an extraordinarily clear voice. There are other YouTube songs by her referenced on this one and they are beautiful.

The Tenth Day of Christmas

On the tenth day of Christmas, my true love (the Holy Spirit) gave to me, 10 Key Business Strategies.

For the past week, I’ve been vacationing at Hilton Head Island in South Carolina completing a new book, “Master’s Mind Marketing: Equipping You To Release God’s Ideas To The World.” You will hear more about this book in two days for The Twelfth Day of Christmas.

This is the first time I have ever been to Hilton Head and it’s been wonderful. We’ve had blue skies every day but one and the high temperatures have been 65-70 degrees.

For five of the past six days, I have ridden a bike to the beach and then on the beach. One day I rode for several hours with at least 16 of those miles on the beach. Before now I had never ridden a bike on beach.

Before I left home, I stumbled across this fantastic and free Special Report by Terry Dean titled

“10 Key Strategies for Any Business Owner to Earn More, Work Less, and Enjoy Life.”

On the front page of this Special Report, Terry has a picture of him and his wife Julie hiking at the Red Rock Canyon in Las Vegas and writes,

“It’s not just about the money. It’s about the lifestyle!”

Let me ask you a few simple questions:

Do you currently earn all the money you want in your business … enough to live in the homes you want, drive the cars you want, and invest for your family’s future?
Do you take regular time off … including time daily with your family and vacations completely away from the office, cell phones, pagers, and email?
Are you truly happy with and enjoying your life? Is your business and personal life fulfilling to you financially, emotionally, and spiritually?

If you’re like most business owners, you’ll find you couldn’t answer all those questions with a resounding, “Yes.” Most people start their business with the hope and dream of working for themselves. They imagine how fulfilling life will be when they’re no longer under the boss, and get to run things their own way and enjoy the fruits of their own labor. Their dream of business quickly becomes a nightmare as they find themselves unable to cope with the marketing, customer service, personnel, and product/service fulfillment.

Welcome to “The First Day of Christmas – TIME For What’s Important.”

In yesterday’s email, I mentioned that today is the official launch day for “The 12 Days of Christmas,” my Christmas gift to you and the world.

This IDEA was inspired by the Holy Spirit while I was journaling during my Sacred Time on Sunday December 11. This was a DIVINE INTERRUPTION.

Let me ask you, “What is your most valuable asset?”

I’d maintain it’s your TIME.

Why?

Because your TIME is your LIFE. When you waste your time, you waste your life.

In Psalm 90:12, King David prayed, “So TEACH us to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom.”

My keyword for life is LEVERAGE. And I’m passionate about helping you LEVERAGE your life to be able to make a big SPLASH in the DASH or your life.

Sunday Inspiration: The 12 Days of Christmas

On Tuesday December 13 at 12:01 AM Eastern time, I am officially launching “The 12 Days of Christmas,” my Christmas gift to you and the world.

This IDEA was inspired by the Holy Spirit while I was journaling during my Sacred Time on Sunday December 11. This was a DIVINE INTERRUPTION.

Sunday Inspiration: Immersed – What Do You Want For Christmas?

What Do You Want For Christmas?

If this story doesn’t get you in the spirit of Christmas, nothing will.

On Monday November 28, I was thrilled to receive the weekly newsletter for St Luke’s School from Robin Schools stating “OPERATION COMPASSION BEGINS!!”

The newletter went on to say, “Operation Compassion was born of the revisioning process for St. Luke’s. It is an outreach to orphan and foster children locally and will ultimately extend to orphans in foreign countries. We are very pleased to announce the launch of such a wonderful program with our initial effort. Between now and Christmas Break (December 16th), we will be collecting the following unwrapped items for 40 local foster children (20 boys and 20 girls): gift cards, movie ticket gift cards, shampoo/conditioner, soap, tooth brushes, toothpaste, and make up for the girls. There will be a box outside the gym labeled “Operation Compassion” for the grooming items. There will be another box in the school office for gift cards. These are such basic needs for some of our local children, so please make every effort to give generously. Thank you in advance for your support as we reach out to the children of our community!”

“Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.” (James 1:27)

Shortly before I went into St. Luke’s School to teach my Religion class on the first day of December (Thursday), I was prompted to share my message “What is in your hand” with the students. During that class, I showed the two videos with Liz Danielsen and Pastor Rick Warren. I then challenged the 8th and 9th grade students to take a lead role in making this Christmas really special for these 40 local orphans.

On Friday evening (Dec 2), I went to the Culpeper United Methodist Church to hear Immersed (Lee Catherine Clayton and Cammie Shelatz) perform “The Spirit of Christmas!” Wow! What a blessing. Even though I arrived right at 7 pm (start time), I managed to get a seat right up at the front where I could easily videotape part of their performance.

As I was leaving the church building after the performance, I was prompted to make a donation and take 3 CDs of “The Spirit of Christmas” – one for Jula and me, one for my parents, and one for my wife’s mother.

Then as I was walking to my car, the Holy Spirit prompted me to go back and ask for 40 more CDs to give as gifts to the 40 orphan children. What better gift to give these children and their foster families than the love and truth of Jesus Christ – what Christmas is really all about.

Sunday Inspiration: ORDER in the Court!

ORDER in the Court!

God is a God of ORDER. Period. Order honors God. Order honors YOU.

Think about it. When you have a clean desk, you think more clearly. When you have a clean house, you can find things easily. When you keep a budget, you tell your money where to go instead of wondering where it went. When you plan your days and weeks well, you accomplish more and fit in the most important things in your life.

This morning I received an email from Dr. Mike Murdock titled “Make Prayer Time An Appointment!” In his email. Dr. Murdock wrote “Two unforgettable disciples, Peter and John, kept their prayer appointments with God. Daniel prayed three times daily. The psalmist prayed seven times daily. Great men simply have great habits. You make appointments with lawyers, doctors, and friends. Start making daily appointments with God.”

During the past two weeks, I’ve been able to completely clear out my email Inbox in 5 minutes or less. That’s saving me at least 15-30 minutes daily, plus I’m responding to people in a more timely fashion.
I’ve begun expecting, looking for, and writing down (journaling) at least one MIRACLE every day. My journal is full of miracles for the past few weeks.

I could go on and on, but I think you see the picture. This isn’t rocket science, my friend. It’s God – it’s allowing Jesus to be the navigator of my life, moment by moment. And I believe God wants to do something similar in your life.
