Aloha from the beautiful island of Maui, Hawaii

Home is where the heart is!

Where is some place you have dreamed about for years going to on vacation?

Yesterday afternoon, Julia and I arrived safely in Maui after a long day of flying. Two friends from Culpeper came in on a different flight and have joined us for the first 8 days of our 2-week vacation. Julia competes in the Xterra World Triathlon Championship on Maui on Oct 25.

During my flight, I had the chance to read and reflect on the entire book of Romans. I believe that God has sent me to Hawaii not only to relax, enjoy His creation, and spend quality time with my wife, but to be a missionary for Jesus as well.

For years, going to Hawaii was a pipe dream for me – something I would do some day. Finally, it became a reality. And journaling played a key role in that. On October 12, I wrote a devotional titled “The LORD is doing a marvelous work in me to SIMPLIFY my life,” SIMPLIFY is my keyword for life.

While on vacation on one of the most beautiful islands in the world, I am thankful for the opportunity to continue to touch the lives of hundreds and thousands of people every day through my blogs and other social media.

Thanks to the help of several TEAM DESTINY members, my current business ventures continue to run and grow without my daily input. That’s also fulfillment of a long-time dream for me – to be able to outsource my work. I share this with you not to brag, but rather to let you know what’s possible for you too.
