The greatest way to show your love for someone is to pray for them from a pure heart!
“He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.” – Proverbs 18:22
There are many stories I could share about answered prayer, but here is one of my favorite ones.
In July 1999 I left Culpeper Hospital after working there full-time as an anesthesiologist for 12 years. I had spent my last year there trying to work out a deal with Sue, my former anesthesia associate, to cut back …

Pray the Lord’s Prayer for spiritual breakthrough!
“This, then, is how you should pray: ” ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, (Matthew 6:9)
How does someone learn to pray? Practice and education! Start easy and work your way up. Only the Holy Spirit can guide us to pray as we should. Just as a child learns to walk by walking, one can best learn to pray by praying, trusting in the help of God.
Long before people are able to engage in praying themselves, they must feel that praying is something …

Prayer is the most powerful tool God has given us!
“If you knew the gift of God …” (John 4:10)
Prayer brings the power of God to bear on the situations that we are concerned about.  Prayer is one of the ways that God is able to work in our lives and in the lives of others, and it opens new possibilities. So we can freely bring all of our concerns, our thoughts and desires, our hurts and our needs to Him, knowing that He is our loving Father, who wants to …

Prayer is the practice of the presence of God!
“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” (James 4:8)
Prayer is acknowledging and experiencing the presence of God and inviting His presence into our lives and circumstances. It’s seeking the presence of God and releasing the power of God which gives us the means to overcome any problem. Prayer is much more than just giving a list of desires to God, as if He is a genie.
Prayer is the place where pride is abandoned, hope is lifted, and supplication …

When you get in alignment with your assignment, God’s provision will follow!
“Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10b)
Your assignment is always the problem which God has destined for you to solve for others! Provision shows up at the point of assignment. An uncommon assignment results in uncommon favor.
My life purpose (vision) is to be the greatest salesman in the world for the Word of God. Just like characters of the Bible, I didn’t choose my purpose – God did, before I was ever born. …

Wisdom is the ability to make sound choices, good decisions.
Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. (Proverbs 4:7a)
If a Genie granted you one wish, what would you wish for?
The Bible says that King Solomon was the wisest man ever to live. When God asked him “What shall I give you?”, Solomon asked for wisdom rather than wealth. God granted him wisdom and promised riches, wealth, and honor would follow. (2 Chronicles 1:7-12)
When requesting something from God, remember:
1) We don’t know what we really want or need. (Jeremiah 10:23)
2) God …

Leaders aren’t born – they are developed!
For the LORD gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. (Proverbs 2:6)
Where do most people go to learn leadership? They search in many places including books, conferences, friends, etc. But the truth is that the best source of leadership teaching today is the same as it has been for thousands of years – the Bible. Jesus is the ultimate Leader and He calls every believer to lead others.
The crying need of the church today is leadership. The church in America is …

Godly leaders manifest life, light, and love!
“… God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.” (1 John 1:5)
“He who does not love, does not know God, for God is love.” (1 John 4:8)
Three key words appear throughout the letters of John: life, light, and love. These are the qualities that Jesus Christ, the Leader of leaders embodies for His people. They are also the qualities a good leader breathes into his or her organization. Effective leaders love their people and relate well with them. They shed light …

People talk about what they are most passionate about!
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who wins souls is wise. (Proverbs 11:30)
Pastor Mark Jarvis is the greatest soul winner I have ever personally known. I clearly remember the day in 2000 when he asked me “Randy, do you want to know how to share your faith?” When I answered “yes,” he asked “What are you trusting to get you into heaven?” When I told Mark that was a good question, he asked me what my …

A generation is at risk! Will you be there to help? Together we can save a generation.
Now the LORD came and stood and called as at other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel answered, “Speak, for Your servant hears.” (1 Samuel 3:10)
A CALL TO ARMS: This generation of teens is the largest (33 million) in America’s history and current trends show that only 4% will be Bible believing Christians by the time they become adults. Compare this with 34% of adults today who are. We are on the verge of a …
