Pray according to the will of God to have your prayers answered.
“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us–whatever we ask–we know that we have what we asked of him.” (1 John 5:14,15)
God answers our prayers according to His will (and according to His wisdom, His love for us, His holiness, etc.). Reading the Bible, the written Word of God, is the best way to know the will of …

Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” (Revelations 21:5)
Jesus doesn’t just change us – He makes all things new!
Yesterday, I shared how God led me to the website for Life Changing Seminars about “redeeming the time.” There I learned about Rick Grubbs, the founder of this wonderful ministry.
After reading about so many things that Rick has already accomplished, I fully expected him to have been on the right track for …

On Sunday July 9, 2006, I first learned about Rick Grubbs, founder of Life Changing Seminars and Redeeming The Time radio ministry. Three and a half years later, I had the privilege of hosting Rick on a webinar titled “Redeeming The Time.” Rick’s message was the best I had ever heard about time.

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit… I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing… By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.” (John 15:1-2, 5, 8)
When someone is on his deathbed, …

Your marriage is like a garden. The soil is enriched and prepared through prayer. Then you have to plant the right kind of seeds—the good seeds of love, fidelity, respect, time, and communication. Seeds of love are some of the easiest seeds to plant, and their growth is so rapid that you can sometimes see results instantaneously.

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. (Galations 6:7-10)

The 3 laws of sowing and reaping are some of the most sure ones in the whole universe. You always reap what you sow, later than you sow, and more than you sow. Let’s explore these further.

Busyness is a great enemy of relationships. We must address the serious problem of busyness in our lives to experience a great awakening. It is not easy to take a Sabbath. You’ve got to decide to do it. A regular Sabbath puts a brake on overwork. In order to practice Sabbath, you must learn one powerful word, “No”. That little word creates the hearth in which the fires of our calling can burn brightly. Sabbath is … an attitude of the heart which recognizes the need for regular soul care within the rhythm of daily life.

“… where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” (2 Corinthians 3:17)
Today, communities throughout the United States celebrate Independence Day. We continue to be the longest on-going Constitutional Republic in the history of the world. Blessings such as these are not by chance or accidental. They are blessings of God.
On July 2, 1776, Congress voted to approve a complete separation from Great Britain. Two days afterwards – July 4th – the early draft of the Declaration of Independence was signed, albeit by only two individuals at that time: …

The Big Rocks
is a great visual example of the importance of putting the most important things in your jar of life first and letting everything else fit in afterwards.
Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: ‘The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.‘ ” (Matthew 21:42)
A professor teaching a time-management class to some college students, took out a wide-mouth glass jar and set some large rocks next to it. He filled up the jar until the last big rock was at …
